“You’re not a Light-worker. You are a Light-holder or Light-anchor. Through your movement to deeper Balance and Peace, you hold the Light, inspire, and liberate others to move deeper into their own.” – Yeshua
Ever hear or read something that pops out to you like a neon sign? When it resonates throughout your whole body and you find your thoughts drifting back to it again and again?
That is what happened when I first read the book The Freedom Transmissions.
To me, this entire book feels like a pulsing heartbeat – each page and sentence is alive and vibrating and full of meaning. Shared wisdom, offerings, revelations, and transformation in every word.
Upon my first reading, there was one specific phrase that lit up from the pages. It was: “Hold the Light.”
Just three words. I underlined the phrase and thoughts appeared in my mind: I would create a podcast called “Hold the Light” — a show for lifelong learners who are curious about the ways we can deepen our connection to our personal development and spiritual life. (Listen here.)
I would have a newsletter of the same name. (Hi.You’re reading it.)
And I would build a community around it as well. (Still to come.)
I first heard about The Freedom Transmissions a couple years ago from author and podcast host Elise Loehnen on her podcast Pulling the Thread. It was one of those moments that when I heard about the book, on a gut-level I knew it was right for me. I felt the call to read it and bought it immediately. That’s what happens. When you’re ready for it, it’ll find you.
I used to say that The Freedom Transmissions may not be for everyone, but I’ve changed my thinking about that. This book is for everyone. If you find yourself drawn to it, you are meant to read it. It’s meant to fall into the hands of people who are open and ready to hear the wisdom and ideas shared within the book at that moment in time.
Up until now, I really haven’t talked to many people about this book, except with my “journey sisters” whom I met on a related retreat. (More on that in a future newsletter, but know that I found my spiritual moai through all of this.)
The book is written by Yeshua as channeled by Carissa Schumacher. Carissa is a renowned psychic medium, intuitive, and channel. Specifically, she’s one of Yeshua’s channels. Yes, that Yeshua, aka Jesus. (Note: I’ve seen Carissa channel and read spirit messages in person and it is unlike anything I have ever seen before.)
Are you still with me? If yes – keep reading. Because I’m going to be vulnerable and honest about my experience with this book. If this doesn't sound like your cup of tea, may I suggest one of my other articles like this or this. However, if you’re curious, keep reading.
So, what are The Freedom Transmissions? They are “channeled Transmissions from Yeshua offering evolved, authentic, and original wisdom for the deepest realization of truth, love, and peace.” Carissa channeled these messages (transmissions), hence the co-authorship. It’s fascinating. If you’re finding yourself interested in deepening your spiritual life, or perhaps you’re already on that path, this book is a doorway to a deeper connection to something greater than yourself. It’s also a path to your true authenticity and to your freedom. I mean, yes, please.
As noted in the book:
“The Freedom Transmissions unburdens us from unnecessary suffering, strengthens our faith and sense of wholeness, and restores balance and peace, reminding us that we are One with the Divine. The joy of these Transmissions is that they are for all people and not just some people on the basis of beliefs or dogma.”
I’m not a religious person. I did grow up going to church every Sunday, but that was more of a family habit or ritual. It was often about community – and, what I’ve come to realize, food: every Sunday before church my dad would bring donuts to our family, or after church we would go to brunch with another family or get ice cream at Baskin Robbins. We would dress up and we would show up. It was about time together.
So why am I now embracing Yeshua and God and the Divine and something greater than myself?
I’m not really sure as I write this. Let me work this out in real time: I guess because choosing to believe in something more feels important as I get older. Because it feels good to think that I am supported by a loving consciousness. Because I want to embrace the idea that there is more to my life than what’s right before me. Because moving deeper into Peace, Freedom, Surrender, and Forgiveness feels like a connection I want.
Because I just believe.
I’ve read this book twice, and now almost every day I go back to it and open it up randomly to something I’ve underlined or bookmarked for a quick dose of wisdom or lightness — or even a kick in the pants. There are also meditations and prayers. You can’t hide from yourself while reading this, especially when you give yourself the time to go back and sit with a chapter or a paragraph and let it really resonate with you. I’ve been learning about myself on a new level, where I’m stuck or held back in my life, where I shine, and the life I want to show up for.
I find myself able to handle more of the ups and downs in my life. When I’m faced with the unknown and I’m feeling fear (like after being laid off from my job), these words help me see that there are magical possibilities in the void – and to trust the process. I’m taking greater chances on myself. I’m understanding myself on a deeper level. And I’m learning how to allow my authentic self to feel safe enough to be seen.
As the book says, Yeshua’s transmissions are “here to expand your consciousness, unburden you from the imbalances of the mind that lead to unnecessary suffering, strengthen your Faith and sense of worth, and, overall, to evolve and restore Balance and joy to your spirit. So that you can live from your true essence.”
So, while this book and Carissa’s work holds deep meaning and value for me, I have been reluctant to share because of the God word or Yeshua. It can be such a trigger for many, and I have compassion for that. However, if you’re open to the ideas of living your one true authentic life, of feeling supported by a loving presence, of feeling connected, or of feeling less fearful about the unknown, embracing the lessons found in this work can feel liberating.
Just know: there is work to do through this book, but that’s the beauty. We are meant to evolve and grow on our life path — and the work of our soul’s journey never ends. And why would we want it to? This is where we’ll find gold.
I’ll dig in even deeper into The Freedom Transmissions in future newsletters because I’m finally feeling the call to share. I’m here to Hold the Light.
If you’ve made it this far, thank you for reading.
Keep holding the light.
“Even one person, streaming, weaving, and delivering that consciousness, that Light, can nourish ten thousand souls with his or her Light.” – Yeshua

Laurie, thank you for this deeply vulnerable, articulate sharing of your experience with TFT. You so beautifully put into words what often feels amorphous and uncomfortable to express. Very inspiring and needed! 🙌💓✨
