Why 1/11 Is an Ideal Time to Set Intentions
Plus, Spirit Daughter Jill Wintersteen is on Hold the Light this week
This week on Thursday, 1/11 (hello, angel numbers!) is the first full moon of the year in Capricorn.
Obviously I am not an astrologer, but I do love to learn about astrology from the experts who are in the know, such at The AstroTwins, Jill Wintersteen (Spirit Daughter), and a fellow named Nik McRae (who combines astrology with human design.)
I’m excited to say that all three of these light holders are on my podcast Hold the Light this month. Ophi from The AstroTwins was featured last week (listen here). Jill Wintersteen is on the podcast this week (listen here), and Nik’s episode will be available starting on Monday, January 15th (stay tuned for that link).
What’s Happening With This New Moon
New moons are an energizing and activating time to write intentions. For this new moon in grounding Capricorn, what I’ve learned from those I’ve interviewed is that it’s a perfect time to set your intentions for the next six months. This is the ideal time to get clarity on how you want to feel in these upcoming months and what you want to pull forth into your life. In six months there are two full moons in Capricorn that have major manifesting power – so this is why it’s an energizing time to set an intention for something you want to manifest in these next six months. Everything is born from a seed, so what idea are you planting right now that you want to see grow?
Be bold, be weird, be original! Set an intention around something that challenges and inspires you. Make it epic, yet also know that epic is in the eye of the beholder. Maybe your goal is to commit to a daily morning practice where you wake at 5:00 AM every day to meditate, or maybe it’s committing to cleaning out and feng shui-ing your garage to open up energy – literally and figuratively – in your life, or maybe it’s committing to looking people directly in the eye when talking to them to build your intimacy and connection muscle.
Or maybe it’s something that feels like a stretch dream, such as writing a book, planning to run your own retreat, or saving money for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.
The biggest thing to ask yourself is: how do you want to feel in these months ahead?
What is worthy of your time and energy this year?
The key is to make a choice. What we don’t change, we continue to choose.
So, what are you choosing? Anything is possible in the quantum field of infinite possibilities, or in the realm of Spirit, or according to the Laws of Vibration — whatever you believe. Give yourself the gift of stillness and listen to your heart.
On the Podcast This Week
I’m excited to share my conversation with Jill Wintersteen, founder of Spirit Daughter, a platform that empowers people around the world to design their best possible lives using astrology and spirituality.
With Spirit Daughter, who has over 2.2 million followers on Instagram, Jill guides people to break through limiting beliefs and find healing and transformation. Her popular lunar cycle workbooks reach thousands of people worldwide each month.
In our chat, we talk about why cultivating a strong spiritual core is essential to the human experience; Jill shares what she does when she feels fear or uncertainty; we talk about why writing is such a powerful transformational tool; and she recommends the best crystals for manifesting, for creating more calm when the energy of the world feels chaotic, and for creating a feeling of balance in our homes. Also, if you wonder how to tune into your intuition, Jill shares helpful ideas around this.
Also, Jill shares what she’s feeling is the energy of 2024.

Work With Me
Did you know that I started working with people one-one-one?
Yes! And right now I’m taking on three new light-holders who want to work with me.
Our time together will be custom-tailored to your needs and where you’re at right now in your life.
The work I focus on is how we can all intentionally design our lives to feel expansive, meaningful, and connected; where we stop putting things off, we learn to live more authentically, and where we no longer abandon ourselves. We tap into how we want to embrace this second half of our lives.
For some of you, that might include:
Finding your what’s next
Setting up daily practices that support you
Embodying discipline and devotion to your self-care – and by that, I mean embracing what lights you up, setting boundaries, showing up for your future self now
Designing a morning routine
Connecting to your spirituality
Expressing your authenticity and allowing yourself to be seen as you – in your life or in business
Having a weekly writing session together where we dig into where and why you might be playing small or feeling stuck in your life
Every session will have its own flow. Think: writing prompts, pulling cards, book recommendations, setting up daily practices, meditations, etc. Often there’s homework for those of you who love a good assignment.
Basically, this is time for you to fully devote to yourself and do some excavation, looking into how you want to feel and be in your life.
When you think about many years from now – when it’s your time to pass from this life – what will you look back on and regret? Working together, we can address this and take action so that those regrets will instead become some of your greatest joys.
The way I work is in hour increments, with a commitment to four sessions in a row to begin. If you are in Los Angeles, I do these sessions from my home. Think: music, a beautiful setting, palo santo, and coffee or tea.
If you don’t live in the L.A. area, these will be online.
So, if this feels in alignment with you as we enter into a new year, reach out for more info.
Let’s connect.
